Grundtvig Learning Partnerships Project
”The development of ex-prisoners’ integration into the labour market” (DEPILM) summary:
The project aim is through informal learning and cooperation to prepare an international methodology for European countries providing know – how and information to help convicts and persons released from places of imprisonment to integrate into the labour market. Nowadays the flow of information is very dynamic, at the same time often poor in quality, resulting in a lack of high quality, structured and methodological information. Therefore, the study produced during this project will integrate information collected from the participating countries as well as the European bibliography, thus becoming an up-to-date guide for EU countries. The methodology prepared during this project would concentrate on providing information to employers, adult education centers and institutions, explaining how to support convicts and persons released from places of imprisonment, how to find means to improve or gain knowledge and competence. The training based on the methodology would be one of the measures to solve the problem of education in EU population and to assist members of vulnerable social groups and living in marginal social contexts to lead a normal life and to (re)integrate into society.
Institutions participating in the project will be sharing their national level experience in solving the problem of integration of convicts and persons released from places of imprisonment into the labour market. The goal of the project is to gather cases of good practice summarize them and develop a structural method, ready for application. Through informal learning and cooperation the qualification of social workers, volunteers and trainers will be improved and convicts and persons released from places of imprisonment will be integrated to social life and labour market through education.
The project aim is through informal learning and cooperation:
